About the course

This course introduces Low Arousal Approaches and is designed for carers, support workers, and professionals working in mental health, social care, foster/residential care, and educational settings. This an opportunity to enhance professional skills for those who work with children, young people, and adults in various settings. Learning focuses on understanding stress and arousal associated with distressed and dysregulated emotional, physiological and psychological states when supporting vulnerable people with additional needs or difficulties who may present with complex and difficult to manage behaviours. The course provides relevant learning and approaches for both experienced professionals and practitioners and for new staff.
